About Town of Bamberg

Spared by war, Bamberg preserves a magnificent medieval and baroque old town spread over seven hills and threaded by the Regnitz. Its landmark is a town hall perched on a tiny island mid-river, while the imperial cathedral holds the famed Bamberg Horseman. The old fishermen's quarter of 'Little Venice' and the town's smoky Rauchbier complete the picture.
