▸ About this event

Watch live Muay Thai most nights at Bangkok's historic Rajadamnern Stadium, the sport's spiritual home since 1945 — traditional bouts and modern show cards.

Opened in 1945, Rajadamnern Stadium is the oldest purpose-built Muay Thai arena in Thailand and one of the sport's two most storied venues. Generations of champions have made their names on its canvas, and a night here is as much a cultural experience as a sporting one: the wailing sarama music of pipes and drums, the ritual wai khru dance before each bout, and the roar of Thai fans around the ring.

## What to expect

Cards run on most nights of the week and typically build from young up-and-comers to a main event, each fought over five rounds. The stadium stages both traditional promotions and a more show-oriented, tourist-friendly format, so the atmosphere and the fighters on the bill vary by night. Ringside and tiered seating is available, with prices rising for the closest views. Fights generally get under way in the evening and run for a couple of hours.

Check the official Rajadamnern site for the current fight calendar, start times and seating, and book ahead for marquee cards. The stadium sits near central Bangkok and is easiest reached by taxi or ride-hailing app.

How to get there

Bangkok is served by Suvarnabhumi (BKK) and Don Mueang (DMK) airports. Rajadamnern Stadium sits on Ratchadamnoen Nok Avenue, near the Dusit district and old city, and is not directly on a BTS or MRT line. The simplest approach is a metered taxi or ride-hail from either airport, 45-75 minutes depending on traffic. From the rail network, the MRT combined with a short taxi hop also works. Fights usually run on set weeknights, so arrive early to catch the atmospheric wai khru ritual the fighters perform before each bout.
