▸ About this event

The Dvořák Prague International Music Festival brings world-class orchestras and soloists to the Rudolfinum from 5–23 September 2026, honouring the Czech composer.

Each September the Dvořák Prague International Music Festival fills the neo-Renaissance Rudolfinum with the sound of one of the world's great symphonic repertoires, staged in honour of the composer whose name it carries. Founded in 2008, the festival has become one of central Europe's most prestigious classical gatherings, drawing leading international orchestras, celebrated conductors and star soloists to Dvořák Hall, a room whose warm acoustics and gilded interior are themselves part of the occasion. For travellers, it is a chance to hear music of the first rank in the city where Antonín Dvořák lived, taught and is buried, with the Old Town and Charles Bridge a short walk from the doors.

## What to expect

The programme runs across roughly three weeks and is built around orchestral concerts in Dvořák Hall, complemented by chamber recitals, soloist appearances and events aimed at younger audiences. Expect a mix of Dvořák's own works alongside the wider Romantic and symphonic canon, performed by ensembles of international standing. The setting is formal but the atmosphere celebratory, and individual evenings sell quickly once the line-up is announced.

Book well ahead for marquee nights; tickets are sold through the festival's official channels, and the Rudolfinum sits on Jan Palach Square, steps from the Staroměstská metro station.
