Fly into Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS), only about 7 km from the centre. Historic Tram 28 trundles through Alfama and is a charming way to reach venues, though it gets crowded. From the airport a taxi or rideshare reaches the old town in about 15–20 minutes. Many fado houses sit on steep cobbled lanes, so wear comfortable shoes for the last stretch.
