Each July, the vast Olympiapark and its landmark Olympiastadion become the home of Lollapalooza Berlin, the German edition of the globe-spanning festival brand. Set on the grounds built for the 1936 Games, it is one of Europe's largest city festivals — two days of music across multiple stages, threading pop, rock, hip-hop and electronic sounds through a sprawling open-air site that mixes the historic stadium bowl with surrounding parkland.

## What to expect

The 2026 edition runs across the weekend of 18 and 19 July, with music and the site opening late morning and headline sets carrying on into the night. Beyond the main stages, Lollapalooza's signature extras fill out the day: a diverse international line-up of established headliners and rising acts, dedicated dance and electronic areas, food and drink markets, and the family-friendly Kidzapalooza zone that sets it apart from more single-minded festivals. Expect big crowds and a lively, all-ages atmosphere.

Tickets are digital and mobile-only, and the festival is car-free, so plan to arrive by public transport — the Olympiastadion has its own U-Bahn and S-Bahn stations. Weekend and single-day tickets sell strongly, so book ahead through the official site.

Fly into Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER), then take the FEX (Airport Express), S9 or regional trains toward the city, about 30–45 minutes to the centre. Lollapalooza Berlin is typically staged at the Olympiastadion and its surrounding park in the west of the city. The Olympiastadion station (U2 line) and the nearby Olympiastadion S-Bahn stop (S3, S9) drop you right at the grounds. From central Berlin allow around 20–25 minutes by U-Bahn or S-Bahn.
