Big Snow is the only indoor ski area in North America, built into the American Dream retail and entertainment complex at East Rutherford, New Jersey, just outside New York City. Under one roof it offers real-snow trails, a dedicated learning hill, a terrain park and a small tubing and play area, all kept well below freezing so the snow stays consistent whatever the season. A large share of its visitors are trying snowsports for the first time, and lessons plus on-site rentals make it easy to start from scratch. Warm gear can be hired, so you can arrive with nothing. It suits first-timers, families and city skiers wanting to ride out of season.
It is the only place on the continent to ski or ride indoors on real snow, open every day of the year within reach of New York City. Perfect for a first lesson, off-season laps or a novelty snow day.
