The XXIV Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla runs 9 September–3 October 2026 across Seville's great theatres and historic venues — the world's leading flamenco festival.
Held every two years since 1980, the Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla is widely regarded as the most important flamenco festival in the world, the event where reputations are made and the art form's leading figures unveil new work. For close to a month the Andalusian capital — flamenco's spiritual home — becomes a stage, its theatres, palaces and courtyards given over to song, dance and guitar. For travellers it is an unrivalled chance to see the genre at its highest level, in the city whose neighbourhoods gave much of it life.
## What to expect
The 2026 edition spreads across roughly eleven venues, from grand houses such as the Teatro de la Maestranza and Teatro Lope de Vega to intimate rooms and historic settings, with the programme ranging from established masters to new voices and featuring a substantial slate of world premieres. Expect a spectrum of formats — full staged productions, recitals and galas — with the Real Alcázar and the Maestranza bullring among the landmark backdrops used in past and present editions.
Popular shows and premieres sell out, so book early through the festival's official ticketing; the full programme and venue-by-venue schedule are published on the Bienal's official site.
