Kozjak Waterfall (Slap Kozjak)

<p>Of the many waterfalls in the Soča valley, Kozjak is the one people remember. A short, well-made path from near Kobarid — partly on wooden walkways over the stream — ends on a viewing terrace inside a near-circular chamber the water has hollowed out of the rock, its walls draped in limestone deposits like a cave. Into that space the Kozjak stream drops about fifteen metres in a single white column, into a green pool.</p><p>The enclosed, cathedral-like setting is what makes it: the falls are not especially tall, but almost nowhere else does a waterfall arrive indoors. It sits within Triglav National Park a short walk from the Napoleon Bridge, and pairs naturally with Kobarid's First World War museum and the Walk of Peace.</p>
