Being modest in altitude and southerly in aspect, it leans hard on snowmaking and is best enjoyed in the cold heart of winter after a good storm cycle. It is a place for learning, cruising and relaxed days rather than steep thrills.

How to get there
Barcelona (BCN) is the practical international gateway, roughly two to two-and-a-half hours' drive south-east; the tiny Andorra–La Seu d'Urgell airport is closer but has minimal scheduled service.
Access is easiest by car up winding mountain roads from Solsona; there is no significant public-transport link, so a hire car is effectively essential.
Best time: January and February, after fresh snowfall and during the coldest spell, give the best coverage on these sunny slopes.
