Kjeragbolten

<p>Kjeragbolten is a glacial boulder jammed in a crevasse high on the Kjerag plateau above the Lysefjord, hanging over a drop of almost a thousand metres, which walkers step onto for a vertiginous photograph. Reaching it is a demanding day hike from Øygardstøl, with chains to haul up steep rock. Kjerag is also a world-renowned base-jumping site. It is higher, harder and far quieter than nearby Preikestolen, and its plateau edges give staggering views down the fjord.</p>
