About MUNCH (Munch Museum)

MUNCH, Oslo's museum devoted to Edvard Munch, opened in 2021 in a striking leaning tower on the Bjørvika waterfront and holds the world's largest collection of the artist's work — thousands of paintings, prints and drawings he bequeathed to the city. Its centrepiece is a version of 'The Scream', Munch's icon of modern anxiety (three of the museum's versions are shown in rotation to protect them). Thirteen floors of galleries, viewpoints and a rooftop bar make it one of Oslo's flagship cultural draws.
