The snow centre

Alpine World Oss is an outdoor artificial ski slope, not a real-snow mountain nor an indoor snow dome, set on a low, purpose-built hill near the town of Oss in North Brabant, in the flat south of the Netherlands. Built on the site of a former landfill, it offers a broad artificial-surface slope served by drag lifts, with beginner treadmill matting at the bottom for first-timers. Run as a ski club, its focus is teaching, practice and freestyle for local skiers and snowboarders rather than any kind of alpine descent. Because the surface is artificial, it operates through much of the year regardless of the weather. It suits beginners, improvers and freestylers looking to keep their technique sharp between mountain trips.

The slope

Beginners

Ideal, with treadmill matting and gentle lower slopes for absolute first-timers.

Intermediates

The wide main slope suits practice and technique work.

Advanced

Limited; the drop is very small.

Experts & off-piste

Not an expert venue, though the width lends itself to freestyle.

Freestyle-friendly slope

The broad artificial slope is well suited to freestyle skiing and snowboarding as well as lessons.
