Après & vibe

An outdoor terrace over the slope and an indoor bar give a convivial club atmosphere.

The snow centre

De Schans is a ski and snowboard club in the flat farmland of North Brabant, built around a large outdoor dry slope surfaced with brush matting rather than snow. It offers several runs of different gradients, from a gentle beginner and children's slope to a steeper pitch for stronger skiers, plus a funpark with jumps and rails, all served by a few lifts. Because it runs on artificial matting it is skiable in every season and in almost any weather, making it a practical place for lessons, freestyle practice and keeping form between mountain holidays. A terrace overlooking the slope and an indoor bar give it a friendly clubhouse feel. This is an artificial-surface training venue, not a snow resort.

The slope

Beginners

A dedicated gentle slope and children's run make it a strong place to learn.

Intermediates

A steeper pitch and the funpark give improvers room to progress.

Advanced

Confident skiers use the steeper run and rails to keep sharp, though terrain is short.

Experts & off-piste

No mountain-scale expert terrain; the draw is freestyle and technique.

Freestyle funpark

A dedicated park with jumps and rails makes De Schans a popular spot for freestyle practice on the brush matting.
