How to get there
Tbilisi (TBS) is the main international gateway, a scenic road-and-mountain journey of a few hours; Kutaisi (KUT) is a useful low-cost alternative to the west.
A multi-hour drive up from Tbilisi through the Borjomi valley, with the last stretch climbing into forested mountains.
Best time: January and February deliver the coldest, most consistent Bakuriani snow.
