The Miami Grand Prix runs 30 April–2 May 2027 around Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, north of the city; tickets are on sale now.
The Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix runs from Friday 30 April to Sunday 2 May 2027 at the Miami International Autodrome in Miami Gardens, north of downtown Miami. formula1.com lists a standard weekend for 2027: two practice sessions on Friday, final practice and qualifying on Saturday, and the race on Sunday. 2027 session times are TBC.
The circuit is temporary but built to feel permanent, laid out around Hard Rock Stadium, home of the Miami Dolphins. It first hosted Formula 1 in 2022. The 5.412 km lap has 19 corners and three long straights, with top speeds over 350 km/h, and formula1.com says you can see every corner from the top deck of the stadium. The promoter calls the run into Turn 18 F1's second-fastest straight. Around the track, the campus has grandstands, general admission viewing areas, restaurants, art installations and live music across the weekend.
As a trip, the race fits easily into a Florida break. British Airways flies direct from London Heathrow to Miami International Airport, and you can stay in Miami, Miami Beach, Aventura or Fort Lauderdale and travel in each day. There's no on-site parking for sale on the day, and rideshare uses off-site lots linked by free shuttles; for 2026 the promoter also ran free shuttles from Brightline's Aventura station. Tickets for 2027 are on sale now on the official site.
Highlights
- A circuit around a stadium: formula1.com says you can see every corner from the top deck of Hard Rock Stadium.
- The straight into Turn 18: the promoter calls it F1's second-fastest, with the Turn 18 Grandstand overlooking Turns 17 to 19.
- Passing spots: formula1.com suggests seats near Turns 1, 11 or 17.
- General admission viewing areas: open to all ticket holders around the campus, shown on the official campus map.
- Food, art and music: Miami restaurants, art installations and live performances across the campus all weekend.
Where to stay for Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix
- Aventura: north-east of the circuit. For 2026, the promoter ran free shuttles to the circuit from Brightline's Aventura station, departing every 10 minutes.
- Downtown Miami and Brickell: plenty of hotels and Brightline's Miami station; allow time for the trip north to Miami Gardens.
- Miami Beach: for beach time around the race days; you'll rely on rideshare to an off-site lot and a shuttle, or a car with pre-booked parking.
- Fort Lauderdale and Hollywood: north of the circuit. For 2026, a free shuttle ran from the rideshare lot at 1 Seminole Way, Hollywood.
The promoter's A–Z guide says hotel rooms are also sold through its hotel partner, Crewfare.

Getting there & around on event days
From the UK
Fly into Miami International Airport (MIA); British Airways flies there direct from London Heathrow (LHR). To enter the US on a British passport you need an approved ESTA (or a visa) before you travel. Apply only through the official ESTA website or app; GOV.UK has the full entry rules and notes that an ESTA doesn't guarantee entry.
On race days
2027 transport details aren't published yet. For the 2026 race, the promoter's arrangements were:
- Brightline + free shuttle: ride Brightline (from Orlando, West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale or Miami) to Aventura station, then take the free shuttle to Gate 3. The promoter called this highly recommended.
- Rideshare: all rideshare lots are off site. Set your drop-off to a named lot; some have free shuttles every 10 minutes, others mean a walk of about 1.3–1.4 miles. Expect surge pricing and long waits, and use the same lot both ways.
- Driving: all parking must be bought in advance; none is sold on arrival. Parking for 2027 isn't on sale yet.
- Drop-off by car: private and chartered vehicles use the off-site rideshare lots and shuttles too.

Tickets & entry
Tickets for the 2027 race are on sale now on the official site, f1miamigp.com, with grandstand seats, hospitality, the Paddock Club and suites. Three-day grandstand ticket holders can join the promoter's complimentary membership for extra 2027 benefits, which requires enrolling in auto-renewal for 2028.
Tickets are mobile only: you manage and transfer them in the official F1 Miami app or Ticketmaster's Account Manager. Every guest needs a ticket, except children under two and/or up to 34 inches tall, who can share a seat with a ticketed adult.
Practical tips & etiquette
Bags: the promoter encourages no bags. Allowed: clear bags up to 12 × 6 × 12 inches, small bags up to 4.5 × 6.5 inches, diaper bags, empty plastic or silicone bottles up to 32 oz and empty hydration packs without pockets. Bag check costs extra, card only.
Not allowed (2026 list): aerosols (including spray sunscreen), large umbrellas, chairs, tents, video cameras, tripods, monopods and selfie sticks, seat cushions, noisemakers, drones and smoking or vaping. Camera lenses must be under six inches.
Cashless: cash isn't accepted anywhere on site and there are no cash machines; you can convert cash to a prepaid card at Guest Experience HQs.
Alcohol ID: anyone who looks 30 or under must show ID, and the A–Z guide lists only US documents, so check with the promoter which ID you can use.
Heat and storms: there are free water stations around the campus. Events are suspended if lightning is close. Bring sun protection (non-aerosol) and drink plenty of water.
Noise: F1 cars are loud, so ear protection is sensible, especially for children.
Accessibility
The promoter says the Miami International Autodrome has accessible parking, accessible shuttles to drop-off points near each ticket zone, accessible toilets and concessions, assistive listening devices (free at Guest Experience HQs with photo ID), a sensory room, lifts and wheelchair rentals. Lifts serve the circuit bridges in the stadium zone; the road bridges have ramps only. Captions are available on your phone through CaptionCast.
For 2026, accessible parking was in Lot 35 for vehicles with a valid disabled parking placard and matching photo ID, first come, first served. Accessible seating in suites, grandstands and hospitality is first come, first served: contact Guest Experience on (305) 943-8000 before you go. On race days, the Mobility Assistance Hotline is (305) 943-6804. See the accessibility page.
