Formula 1 night race on the Las Vegas Strip, 19–21 November 2026: practice Thursday, qualifying Friday, the race on Saturday night.
The Las Vegas Grand Prix is a Formula 1 street race run at night through the middle of Las Vegas. The 2026 race is Round 21 of the season and takes place from Thursday 19 to Saturday 21 November 2026. Unlike most Grands Prix, the weekend runs Thursday to Saturday: two practice sessions on Thursday evening, final practice and qualifying on Friday evening, and the 50-lap race at 8pm local time on Saturday.
The Las Vegas Strip Circuit is 6.201 km long with 17 corners. It uses public roads, Las Vegas Boulevard (the Strip), Harmon Avenue and Koval Lane, and includes a long straight along the Strip. The pit and paddock building (where the teams work), Grand Prix Plaza, stands at the corner of Harmon Avenue and Koval Lane, one block east of the Strip. Viewing is split into zones around the lap, including grandstands, standing general-admission areas and a zone beside the Sphere.
Formula 1 first raced in Las Vegas in 1981 and 1982 at Caesars Palace; the current Strip race began in 2023. Because sessions run late into the evening and the circuit sits among the resorts, most visitors stay on or near the Strip and walk or take the monorail to their zone. Roads around the circuit close for long periods during race week, so plan the days before and after as carefully as the race nights. The 2027 race is confirmed for 18–20 November 2027.
Highlights
- A night race on the Strip: the race starts at 8pm local time on Saturday, with practice and qualifying also held in the evening.
- Las Vegas Boulevard at speed: the 6.201 km, 17-corner lap includes a long straight along the Strip.
- Sphere zone: general admission and grandstand seats beside the Sphere, overlooking a section of the lap.
- Harmon and Koval zones: for 2026 a new West Harmon zone connects with the East Harmon and Koval zones.
- Grand Prix Plaza: the permanent pit and paddock building at Harmon Avenue and Koval Lane, where the race starts.
Where to stay for Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix
Central Strip resorts (around Caesars Palace, Bellagio, Paris and the Flamingo): closest to much of the circuit, so you can walk to many zones. The organiser encourages walking from nearby hotels during race week because of road closures. Resorts inside the circuit ask for a pass or proof of reservation to get in, so check access with your hotel.
Hotels near monorail stations (MGM Grand, Horseshoe/Paris, Flamingo/Caesars Palace, Harrah's/The LINQ, the Convention Center, Westgate, SAHARA): the Las Vegas Monorail stops along the east side of the Strip, and Visit Las Vegas recommends it for reaching the F1 viewing zones.
North Strip and off-Strip (Fontainebleau, Wynn, Downtown, Henderson): rooms are often easier to find away from the circuit, but expect longer journeys. Use the monorail rather than driving; the organiser's A–Z guide lists race-week rideshare zones and road closures.
The organiser and Visit Las Vegas list official partner hotels and hospitality packages. Neither publishes a sell-out warning, but this is a short week with very high demand, so check rates on the Strip and away from it.

Getting there & around on event days
From the UK
Fly into Harry Reid International Airport (LAS), at the south end of the Strip. Virgin Atlantic and British Airways both fly London Heathrow (LHR) to Las Vegas (LAS) direct, and both use Terminal 3 at LAS. To enter the US on a British passport you need an approved ESTA (or a visa) before you travel. Apply only through the official ESTA website or app, and check your ESTA is still valid before you fly. GOV.UK has the full entry rules.
On race days
- Walk: roads around the circuit close during race week, so the organiser recommends walking from nearby hotels. The official F1 Las Vegas app gives walking routes to your zone, and zone entrances are emailed to ticket holders.
- Las Vegas Monorail: Visit Las Vegas recommends the monorail for getting to the F1 viewing zones and Strip resorts during race week. Check race-week hours on the Las Vegas Monorail site before you go.
- Rideshare: official pick-up and drop-off zones are at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, Tuscany, Park MGM and the Hughes Center. Use the one nearest your zone.
- Buses and roads: RTC buses along the Strip, including the Deuce, run on detours and some stops close during race week. Track closures start before the race weekend. Check RTC Alerts & Detours and the organiser's A–Z guide shortly before you go.

Tickets & entry
Tickets are sold by the race promoter at f1lasvegasgp.com and through Formula 1's official ticketing site. Options include three-day and single-day general admission (standing, with first-come viewing platforms), assigned grandstand seats and hospitality. Accessible seats are sold the same way: choose "show accessible tickets" in the filters. Tickets are managed in, and transferred through, the F1 Las Vegas app.
The 2026 race is about three weeks away, so check the official ticket page for what is still on sale. The promoter's terms say that only tickets bought from the promoter or its authorised agents will be honoured. Tickets resold for profit can be voided and the holder refused entry. Formula 1 warns about fake ticket websites, heavily discounted offers and requests to pay by bank transfer.
Practical tips & etiquette
- Late nights: sessions start in the evening and the race starts at 8pm on Saturday, so plan dinner, sleep and onward travel around that. Your flight home is easiest on Sunday or later.
- Children: under-2s can go without a ticket if they sit on a parent's lap.
- Clothing: it's a desert city in late November and you'll be outside after dark, so bring a warm layer for the evening sessions.
- Time zone: Las Vegas is 8 hours behind the UK in November. Arriving a day or two early helps you adjust to the late sessions.
Bags and prohibited items: the organiser publishes its bag policy and prohibited-items list in its official Know Before You Go guide. Check it before you pack, as the rules are specific.
Accessibility
The organiser says the event is designed to be accessible. Wheelchair-accessible seats and companion seats are sold through the official ticketing site: use the "Disabled Access" option or choose "show accessible tickets" in the filters. Crutches, walkers and canes are allowed. Staff help guests with mobility needs between entrances and seats.Accessible shuttles run at each hospitality shuttle stop. For anything not covered, see the official FAQ, which lists an accessibility contact.
Safety & travel advice
FCDO advice for the USA warns that terrorists are very likely to try to carry out attacks there, including at crowded places, mass gatherings and sporting events. Stay aware of your surroundings and follow the advice of local authorities. In an emergency, call 911. Be ready for searches at every entrance.
- Before you go, read the UK government's FCDO travel advice for the United States (entry requirements, safety and local laws).
