Après & vibe

A simple mountain base with basic refreshments; the town of Srebrenica lies below.

The snow centre

Javor is a genuine, if modest, mountain ski centre on the Javor massif near Srebrenica in eastern Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is a small community-scale hill with a single short run and lift, surrounded by forest and used mainly by families and day visitors from the surrounding region. The atmosphere is unpretentious and quiet, a world away from the country's larger Olympic mountains such as Jahorina and Bjelašnica. Being low and small, its season depends entirely on natural winter snowfall and can be short and variable. It suits beginners, gentle intermediates and anyone wanting a calm day on the snow in an unspoilt corner of the country.
