The resort
Kompleks Pilsko-Jontek is the flagship ski complex at Korbielów, a mountain village in the Żywiec Beskids of far southern Poland right up against the Slovak frontier. Its runs climb high onto Pilsko, one of the range's tallest summits, which gives the area a longer, more snow-sure season than most Polish resorts and a genuine sense of altitude. The Jontek sector links a good spread of largely intermediate and beginner runs served by chairlifts and drags, making it a solid family and improver mountain with the odd steeper pitch. Down in Korbielów the atmosphere is relaxed and affordable, a classic Polish mountain-village ski base.
