Après & vibe
The centre's timber chalets house cosy cafés and tavernas, and the wine town of Naoussa below offers excellent food and celebrated reds.
The resort
Named for the '3-5 wells' of local legend, this centre sits on the forested slopes of Mount Vermio in Central Macedonia, above the celebrated wine town of Naoussa. It is a warm, family-oriented Greek ski area with a distinctive cluster of stone-and-timber chalets that give it more atmosphere than its size might suggest. The terrain is mostly gentle and welcoming, making it a favourite weekend escape for skiers from Thessaloniki and the northern Greek cities. Snow on these mid-height Balkan mountains can be fickle, but a good cold spell transforms the pine slopes, and the surrounding Naoussa vineyards and tavernas make the wider trip as much about food and wine as skiing.
