Après & vibe
The nearby village of Elatohori offers traditional tavernas and mountain hospitality, giving the day a convivial Greek-mountain flavour.
The resort
Elatohori is a small, welcoming ski centre set in the fir forests of the Pierian range in Central Macedonia, a short drive up from its namesake mountain village. It is a place for relaxed days on the snow rather than serious vertical, drawing families and weekend visitors from Thessaloniki and the wider region. Perched among wooded slopes, it offers sweeping views across northern Greece toward the massif of Mount Olympus. Like most Greek resorts it sits at a moderate altitude in a Mediterranean climate, so snow cover can be generous in a good spell and thin in a lean one. The season runs through the Greek winter, broadly December to March, when conditions allow.

A Mediterranean mountain setting means snow is variable; cold snaps bring good cover, but mild spells can shorten the season, so it pays to check conditions before travelling.
