The snow centre
Ski Center Mihajlovo is a small real outdoor ski area high on Kožuf mountain, about thirty-five kilometres from the wine town of Kavadarci, and among the newest additions to North Macedonia's short list of ski destinations. It opened for its first season with a single groomed track and a lift, joining established Macedonian areas like Popova Šapka, Mavrovo and Ponikva. The slope is modest and geared to beginners and families, and an on-site mountain resort with rooms gives the place a quiet, self-contained base. Plans point to further development, but for now it is a low-key, uncrowded hill with an appealing high setting. Its elevation gives a genuine but short mid-winter season.
