Après & vibe

Predeal town supplies the cabins, hearty Romanian restaurants and low-key evenings rather than serious nightlife.

The resort

Clăbucet is a small, welcoming ski area rising straight from Predeal, the highest town in Romania, in the heart of the Prahova Valley. The terrain is mostly easy and open, with tree-lined runs that suit first-timers, children and cautious intermediates rather than thrill-seekers. Its appeal is convenience and value: cheap lift passes, ski schools, and a resort town of hotels, cabins and restaurants right at the base. As part of the wider Prahova cluster it pairs naturally with nearby Azuga, Bușteni and Sinaia for a change of scene. Snow is variable at Carpathian altitudes, so snowmaking underpins the core season.

Little challenge here; strong skiers look to nearby Predeal and Prahova areas.

Experts & off-piste

Not an expert's hill; the terrain stays firmly easy.
