The snow centre
Nõmme Lumepark is a small city snow park set on the slope beneath the Mustamäe ski-jump towers, at one of the highest points in Tallinn. It is not a mountain resort but an artificial-snow training centre: when temperatures allow, the short slope is covered with machine-made snow, so it can run even when the city sees little natural snowfall. Alongside a lift-served slalom slope there is a snowtubing track, ski and snowboard rental and a busy lesson programme, making it Estonia's main urban base for learning and mountain-sport training. It suits city-break visitors, first-timers and families wanting a couple of hours on snow within minutes of the Old Town, rather than skiers chasing vertical or variety.
The slope
Ideal for first turns, with lessons and a short lift-served slope.
The slalom pitch gives keen improvers somewhere to practise technique.
Very limited for advanced skiers given the short vertical.
