Après & vibe

A relaxed base area within the wider Otepää resort district, which has cafes and lodging nearby.

The snow centre

Tehvandi Snowpark is a genuine outdoor ski hill in Otepää, the rolling lakeland district of southern Estonia long regarded as the country's winter-sports capital. It is best known for combining one of the best-profiled alpine ski slopes in the Baltics with a dedicated freestyle and snowboard terrain park, split into a piste zone and a park zone. Though the vertical is small in absolute terms, the shaping of the slope and the floodlighting for evening riding make it a favourite with locals, learners and freestylers alike. Snow is a matter of the cold Estonian winter backed by grooming and snowmaking, so the season runs through the darker winter months. It suits beginners, intermediates and anyone keen to lap the park.

The slope

Beginners

Gentle lower slopes and lessons make it a good place to start.

Intermediates

The well-shaped main pitch rewards confident cruising.

Advanced

The terrain park adds interest beyond the short vertical.

Experts & off-piste

Limited by size, though park riders find plenty to session.

The terrain park

A dedicated freestyle and snowboard park sits alongside the alpine slope, one of the better-equipped in the Baltics.

Floodlit evening riding

The slope is illuminated after dark, extending sessions through the long Estonian winter nights.
