Après & vibe

A chalet at the top of the slope has a wide terrace overlooking the surrounding Ardennes countryside.

The snow centre

Le Val de Wanne is a compact outdoor ski and leisure hill above Trois-Ponts in the wooded Ardennes of eastern Belgium. In winter it offers a short alpine slope, reckoned among the longest in the country, plus marked cross-country loops through the forest, drawing Belgian and Dutch families for a low-key snow day close to home. Because it depends on natural snow at modest Ardennes altitude, downhill skiing only runs during genuine cold snaps and is unpredictable from year to year. Off-snow it works as a year-round activity park with devalkart, tubing, a toboggan run and mountain biking, so a visit rarely disappoints even without snow. It suits beginners, children and day-trippers rather than serious skiers.

The slope

Beginners

The main draw: easy slopes and lessons for first-timers and kids.

Intermediates

One longer piste offers a gentle cruise when snow allows.

Advanced

Little to hold advanced skiers beyond a quick visit.

Experts & off-piste

No expert terrain.

One of Belgium's longest ski pistes

The site is proud of running a full alpine slope, a rarity in low-lying Belgium, whenever the snow cooperates.

Year-round activity park

Devalkart, tubing, a toboggan run and mountain trails keep the centre busy through summer and green winters.
