Zemplen Kalandpark

Zemplén Kalandpark is an all-round adventure park set on the Magas-hegy above the town of Sátoraljaújhely, close to the Slovak border, and skiing is one strand of a much wider offer. Its ski slopes are served by lifts and topped up by snow cannons in winter; when natural snow is thin, visitors can still practise on Hungary's longest and widest plastic dry slope, making the venue a year-round learner and family destination rather than a snow-sure resort. Alongside the pistes it packs in a chairlift, ropes courses, a bobsled run and a zipline, so a day here is as much about the whole hill as the descents. It suits beginners, children and day-tripping families from the region far more than experienced skiers. A ski school on site teaches newcomers to ski and snowboard.
