It is a small local area rather than a resort, with a short run or two dropping through the trees and a simple lift, aimed at families and beginners from the surrounding villages and towns. The setting, in the rolling forested ranges of Transcarpathia, gives it a low-key, back-country charm well away from Ukraine's larger and busier Carpathian centres. Snow at this modest altitude is variable and the season short, so it is best treated as an easy, inexpensive day on the slopes when winter delivers cover. It suits those wanting a quiet, authentic taste of Carpathian skiing rather than extensive terrain.
