Après & vibe
Après is rustic and convivial, centred on the small mountain guesthouses (kolybas) serving Carpathian food and warmth rather than any nightlife scene.
The resort
Drahobrat is a wild, high-mountain ski settlement below the peaks of Stih and Blyznytsia in Ukraine's Zakarpattia region, and the highest ski resort in the country. Getting there is part of the character: the final stretch up from the village of Yasinia is a rough dirt track that only four-wheel-drive jeeps and UAZ vehicles can climb, so visitors leave their cars below and transfer up to the cluster of guesthouses at altitude. The reward is a long, snow-reliable season and terrain that leans towards adventurous skiers, with genuine off-piste and freeride potential among the surrounding ridges alongside a set of simpler lifts. It is raw and basic rather than polished, and that remoteness is precisely its appeal.

Skiing & terrain
A few gentle lower runs, though the setting is rugged for true first-timers.
The main pistes suit confident intermediates comfortably.
Steeper lines and the surrounding bowls give advanced skiers plenty to explore.
Off-piste and freeride terrain among the high ridges is the real draw for experts.
The jeep transfer up
Reaching Drahobrat means swapping your car for a four-wheel-drive UAZ or jeep to grind up the off-road mountain track from Yasinia, an adventure in itself.
High-Carpathian freeride
The bowls and ridges around Stih and Blyznytsia offer some of Ukraine's best natural off-piste terrain.
