Slavske is a long-established ski village in the Skole district of the Lviv region, where the main slopes climb the flanks of Mount Trostyan in the eastern Carpathians. How to get there
Lviv Danylo Halytskyi International Airport (LWO) is the regional gateway, though onward travel is by road or the classic rail line into the Carpathians.
Slavske sits on the railway from Lviv, and by road the mountain villages are a few hours' drive from the city.
Best time: January and February bring the most reliable snow to this mid-altitude Carpathian area.
