Kayseri-Erciyes

Erciyes rises on the slopes of an extinct volcano, its runs fanning out in wide, treeless swathes below a snow-streaked summit cone. In little more than a decade it has been transformed from a modest local hill into Turkey's showpiece resort, laced with modern gondolas and chairlifts that spread skiers efficiently around the mountain.
