The snow centre
Kolašin 1600 is a genuine outdoor mountain ski centre set high on the Bjelasica massif above the historic town of Kolašin in northern Montenegro. It is one of the country's principal ski areas, with modern lift access, including a gondola, carrying skiers up to open, forest-fringed slopes reaching towards the Bjelasica summits. Bjelasica's broad, rounded terrain and sheltered woodland give friendly, varied skiing that suits families, beginners and intermediates, and the area offers strong value compared with the Alps. The atmosphere blends alpine mountain scenery with Montenegrin character in the town below. At a solid altitude the season is a dependable Balkan winter, though snowfall varies from year to year.
