How to get there
Beijing (Capital PEK or Daxing PKX) is the gateway, not any airport in China's northeast; the site lies in Hebei north-west of the capital and is reached by road or by the Beijing-Zhangjiakou high-speed rail to the Chongli area in a few hours.
The high-speed railway serves the Chongli district near Guyangshu, with short local transfers to the venue and surrounding resorts; driving from Beijing is also common.
Best time: December to February is the core winter window, when the Chongli district is coldest and most snow-sure.
