Beldersay is a genuine mountain ski area set in the Chatkal range of the western Tian Shan, in the mountains east of Tashkent and close to the popular Chimgan resort zone. It is one of Uzbekistan's principal ski spots, known for a long chairlift that climbs high towards the Kumbel peak and opens up an airy main descent through steep, sunlit terrain. The area is compact and its facilities modest, drawing a mix of local skiers, day-trippers from the capital and adventurous visitors chasing Central Asian mountain scenery. Sitting at real altitude in a continental range, it gets a genuine cold-season snow cover, though the developed piste network is small. It is best approached as a scenic, characterful outing in a striking high-mountain setting rather than a large resort.
